In 2010 the ERA received a new facilities investment test application from Western Power to determine that forecast new facilities investment proposed by Western Power, for the connection of the Collgar Windfarm to Western Power's South West Interconnected Network (SWIN), meets the new facilities investment test.
In 2011 the ERA pre-approved investment of $12.2 m for Western Power to build a terminal substation and associated works for connection of the Collgar wind farm to the South West Interconnected Network.
