As required under the Electricity Networks Access Code 2004, the ERA undertook a review of Western Power’s technical rules between 2008 and 2011. To implement the changes identified during the review, Western Power submitted proposed revisions to the technical rules to the ERA on 14 July 2011. The ERA published its findings on the review, including the proposed revisions, on 16 August 2011 and invited submissions. Taking account of matters raised in submissions, Western Power made some minor changes to its proposed revisions. The ERA approved the modified proposed revisions on 10 November 2011 and the revised rules took effect from 23 December 2011.
