Western Powers’s initial Technical Rules were approved by the Economic Regulation Authority on 26 April 2007 and came into effect on 1 July 2007.
As required under the Electricity Networks Access Code 2004, the ERA undertook a review of Western Power’s technical rules. To implement the changes identified during the review, Western Power submitted proposed revisions to the technical rules to the ERA on 14 July 2011. The ERA published its review of the proposed revisions on 16 August 2011 and invited submissions. Taking account of matters raised in submissions, Western Power made some minor changes to its proposed revisions. The ERA approved the modified proposed revisions on10 November 2011 and the revised rules took effect from 23 December 2011.
