On 15 August 2014, Goldfields Gas Transmission Pty Ltd (GGT), on behalf of Southern Cross Pipelines Australia Pty Ltd, Southern Cross Pipelines (NPL) Australia Pty Ltd and Alinta DEWAP Pty Ltd (subsequently Alinta Energy GGT Pty Ltd), submitted proposed revisions to the access arrangement for the Goldfields Gas Pipeline (GGP). GGT is the complying service provider for the covered pipeline.
On 30 June 2016, the ERA published its Final Decision, Revised Access Arrangement and Revised Access Arrangement Information for the Goldfields Gas Pipeline. The ERA’s Final Decision was to not approve GGT’s proposed revisions to the access arrangement for the Goldfields Gas Pipeline.
A minor correction to the Access Arrangement was published on 21 July 2016.
In November 2016, Goldfields Gas Transmission Pty Ltd applied to the Western Australian Supreme Court to have the ERA’s decision quashed. A Supreme Court hearing was held on 10‑11 October 2017.
On 11 April 2018, the Supreme Court of Western Australia dismissed the application for judicial review. The Supreme Court found that the ERA did not make an error of law. As a result, the ERA's Final Decision and Revised Access Arrangement as published on 21 July 2016 remain in force.
