The Economic Regulation Authority administers Western Australia’s licensing scheme for gas supply services and recently commenced its review of current gas licence templates.
The objectives of the 2020 review are to ensure that gas licences:
• Are consistent with applicable legislation
• Minimise licensee’s regulatory burden and compliance costs
• Have clear and consistent terms and conditions
• Are consistent with electricity and water licences where possible
The review is limited to the format and terms and conditions of gas licence templates.
