The ERA monitors participants’ compliance with the Gas Service Information (GSI) Rules, investigates potential breaches of the GSI Rules and takes enforcement action where appropriate. Enforcement action can include applying to the Electricity Review Board for fines or other orders.
The ERA uses a range of tools and mechanisms to monitor compliance with the GSI Rules and Market Procedures. We do this through a compliance reporting framework put in place under these Rules.
The ERA’s Compliance Framework and Strategy describes how the ERA undertakes its compliance activities, including its detection and deterrent activities and strategic priorities for the year ahead.
