On 21 December 2018, Goldfields Gas Transmission Pty Ltd submitted a proposed revised access arrangement for the Goldfields Gas Pipeline (GGP). The access arrangement period is due to commence 1 January 2020 and finish 31 December 2024. This will be the fourth access arrangement period (AA4).
The GGP is a 1,378 kilometre transmission pipeline that receives natural gas from offshore fields in the north west of Western Australia. The GGP begins in Yarraloola, and extends to Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields-Esperance region. The 47 kilometre Newman lateral is also part of the GGP.
On 1 March 2019, the ERA published an issues paper to assist interested parties in preparing submissions on the proposed revised access arrangement.
On 31 July 2019, the ERA published its Draft Decision on the proposed revised access arrangement for the GGP. In response to the Draft Decision, GGT submitted revisions to its proposal on 11 September 2019.
Interested parties were invited to make public submissions on GGT’s initial proposal, the ERA’s issues paper, the ERA’s draft decision and GGT’s revised proposal. No submissions were received.
On 19 December 2019, the ERA published its final decision on the proposed revised access arrangement for the GGP. The ERA did not approve GGT’s proposed changes to the access arrangement and published a revised access arrangement and access arrangement information.
